Nico Spalon is Morgantown's premiere spa and salon. You'll feel yourself relax the moment you walk into Nico Spalon, Morgantown's newest full service Spa and Salon. Nic Romanoli created the word "Spalon" to describe his unique combination of a "Spa" and "Salon". Rich wood tones and modern styles collide to create a flawless oasis for relaxation, beauty and style.

Feel free to walk the grounds at Nico which are reminiscent of a quaint English garden. Relax in the Great Room or venture onto one of the many serene patios. Our contemporary atmosphere, wide variety of services, and technical expertise blend together to create the perfect environment for you.

Our mission concerning our spa/salon is to provide clients with a relaxed and pleasing environment. It is our responsibility to make sure they are fully entertained while in our presence. 		Nic Romanoli Nic has plenty of experience creating the perfect salon--Nico is the fifth spa he's owned in his 30 year career. Nic's talent will have you coming back time and again. Who wouldn't trust their hair to the man who has styled for international designers like Chanel, Aldolfo and Carl Lagerfeld? He served as president of the West Virginia State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists for 8 years. He also worked for Lanza International as their top educator. He is now the Artistic Director of Nico Hair and skin care line.
Our Staff
		Anthony Butler Anthony has been a cosmetologist at Nico Spalon for the past 3 years. He has become one of Nico's top designers, specializing in innovative color techniques. He is superior with blonde hues and highlighting. Anthony also works with Foto Romanoli and Harley Davidson photo shoots creating stunning hair that is camera ready. Anthony enjoys doing event hair. His Up-do's are works of art and his blow dry technique sets him a part from the rest. Book an appointment with Anthony and all of your friends will be asking you, "who does your hair?"

		Whitney Cayton Whitney can take a bland and boring hairstyle to hot and trend-setting. She specializes in creating a hairstyle that accentuates your structure; resulting is a flawless presentation. Not to mention, her coloring adds vibrancy to create a new you. The advanced coloring techniques Whitney uses she learned from a Wella Color Specialist. Her creations have been featured in works by Foto Romanoli. Whitney's passion for hair design seeps into her unique styles and her covetable cuts and colors.

		Treva Gales Treva is West Virginia's only exclusive color specialist. Treva has been a colorist for the past 11 years working with Nicholas Romanoli first at Tonique, and now at Nico. Treva's foiling technique is second to none. She has clients who come from all over West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Her local client list is the "Who's Who" of Morgantown. Treva does all color for Nicholas Romanoli and they work as a team to create the best, most progressive look specifically designed for you.




		Audra Mayhew Audra is one of Nico's most energetic new designers. Born and raised in Morgantown, Audra's outgoing and unique personality translates into her designs. Nick is so proud to have Audra as a part of the Nico team. She has done hair and makeup with Nick on photo shoots for racer x magazine and Nico ads. She is the new talent at nico.

		Rick Stache Rick is the Artistic Director at Nico Spalon. He has built his life around hair. He's been cutting, coloring and styling it for over 30 years. He was a salon owner (owning 2 salons in the Morgantown area) for a total of 22 years. He has worked in the profession internationally as well, working for Perma of Paris as a colorist. Rick also participated in the Grand Opening of the Chanel Boutique at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC. In addition, Rick has been published in Passion Magazine. Chances are if you see progressive, stylish, head-turning hair in Morgantown, it is the creation of Rick Stache.


		Rachel Harman Rachel, a Morgantown native, is Nico's newest stylist. She attended WVU and holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising. After graduation, Rachel worked at the Waterfront Hotel for three years. Her life-long desire to attend beauty school brought her to Morgantown Beauty College. Fresh from graduating with her Cosmetology degree, she is ready to share her enthusiasm and beauty with the world.

		Marsha Clark Marsha has worked in the Morgantown area with Nico Spalon owner Nic Romanoli for over 14 years. Marsha specializes in cutting, coloring, styling and waxing. She keeps up on the latest trends by attending local industry shows and workshops. She has the unique ability to asses your current cut and color and develop a new look that will compliment you perfectly. 		Cliff Royse Cliff began at Nico in December of 2007. He studied at Allegheny College of Maryland for two years and graduated cum laude with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Therapeutic Massage. He is state licensed and nationally certified. His techniques include swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release, specializing in deep relaxation. He spent 2 1/2 years working in the Eastern Panhandle developing his unique approach and is now back in Morgantown. The word is out and Cliff is booking up quickly, so call and make your appointment today!

		Corey Paige Corey is a Morgantown resident and has been at Nico since April 2007, initially as a Desk Coordinator, and more recently as the Spalon Director; He came to Nico after an 8-year career as a Gap, Inc. manager. There, he gained extensive knowledge of the retail business, including merchandising, human resource training & management, and customer service. Corey enjoys traveling, live music, and photography. He brings great energy and enthusiasm to Nico Spalon’s desk; He and the desk staff are prepared to help you with all your spa & salon needs, whether a simple cut, preparations for a special event, or a whole day of pampering, they can schedule something special just for you.
